My Pledge:
Representing a district isn’t just about title- it’s about commitment, availability, and a willingness to serve. My focus will be on action, not just credentials. Through my District Drives initiative, I will commit to visiting, engaging, and documenting the issues, concerns, and ideas of EVERY neighborhood in District 13 during my first term. As the HOA president in my community, I have a good handle on what our issues are, and how the city can help— I want that same insight for your neighborhood. I encourage you to visit my District Drives page and fill out the questionnaire about your neighborhood. I want to know what streets need attention, what the biggest concern is for residents, what the problems are, and if you have any ideas. Your representative should be fighting for you in the areas we live and work, not just downtown.
For folks who value more than just accountability and availability, I want to ensure you that I bring a strong background of public service and personal ethics. I work in education, something I am extremely passionate about. I help students get the career training they need to get certifications and jobs across the country. I have a BA in Public Administration, and an MBA focused on leadership. I have previous board experience representing Miracosta College on the Board of Trustees, and as a Field Representative for a State Assemblymember with a district of over 400,000 residents.
At the end of the day, the absolute most important requirement to representing a district is being present, being impartial, listening, and delivering real results by way of legislation and action. I’m not here for politics, I’m here for progress. Together we can build a safer, stronger, and more connected Nashville and District 13.
My sincerest thanks,
Marc ‘Alex’ Seger
